  • Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise that focuses on improving core strength, flexibility, and overall body awareness and strength. It was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century and has since gained popularity worldwide. The Pilates method emphasizes controlled and precise movements, breathing techniques, and alignment of the bodily joints.  Pilates is a form of cross-training and it is most beneficial when added to your existing exercise regime.

  • Established in 1989 by world-renowned Pilates Educator, Rael Isacowitz, BASI has been a leader in top-tier Pilates education for 30 years and counting. BASI (Body Arts and Science International) is dedicated to remaining true to art, to science, and, most importantly, true to Joseph and Clara Pilates. With a reputation for innovation and academic excellence, BASI strives to provide the most comprehensive Pilates education experience and educational resources available.

  • Pilates is a holistic approach to fitness that can benefit individuals in so many ways.

    1. Improves Core Strength

    2. Enhances Flexibility and improves balance and coordination

    3. Increases Muscle Tone and aids in better posture

    4. Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation

    5. Helps in stress reduction and enhances breathing

    6. Increases Energy Levels and aids weight management

    7. Improves body Awareness and enhances mind-body connection

    8. Enhances Sports Performance

    9. Community and Social Interaction

  • You should always consult your physician before starting any fitness routine. A Pilates workout can be gentle and controlled with a focus on core strength and stability. It is also important, however, that you work with a qualified Instructor to ensure you are doing the exercises correctly and avoiding movements that may be contraindicated for your condition. An experienced Instructor can modify the exercises to accommodate your limitations, continually challenge you within your ability, and monitor your improvements. Progress may be slow, but a consistent workout schedule with appropriately chosen exercises with attention and focus will ensure that you see results.

  • Women, men, athletes, pre and post-natal women, young and the elderly, the flexible and inflexible. The fit and not so fit. Anyone wanting to improve their core strength, posture, coordination, and balance. Those who want to stay injury and pain-free. Pre or post-joint replacement. Pilates is for anybody and everybody!

  • Group Equipment is for max 3 people only. In these classes you will have the opportunity to work on equipment like the Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector, Cadillac and Reformer.

Group Reformer classes take a maximum of 5 people per class using the Reformer and small props.
